Wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered the first time. Beast is the first in this chilling teen series, followed by Berserk and Bedlam. Once just a vicious litle baby, it is now a powerful predator, big and hungry enough to break free from its rusting all.

I can only hope there will be another book on selby who kenndn intreaging. She is also a professional singer. I’ve seen this book on the shelves a couple of times, but for some reason I assumed that the beast it was referring to was a metaphor for child abuse in his past, or something like that.
Beast Written by Ally Kennen. Stephen aally had it easy. The author balances black humour, farce and emotional truth — a real achievement. The family he has been with the past four years hasn’t been half bad, but he’s reached the age limit for foster care and is about to be sent packing.

If you loved this, you might like these I enjoyed it very much. All these elements brew together to create a somewhat gruesome but still compelling metaphorical story, sort of like a train wreck you can’t look away from.

Listened to the audiobook version of this. Being afraid of enormous effing crocodiles. But all the build up of this fantastic beast that made it sound mythical or magical kind of took away from the actual exciting and interesting bits of the crocodile managing to survive in England.
